Water water everywhere!

Port Albert lost power at 7pm and the heavens opened. Like most folks we had no phone connection or wifi and our transistor radio (battery operated radio) tuned to the ABC also lost reception. It was a very long day and at 5pm as the daylight dimmed, I thought about another early night to bed when suddenly the power returned and life returned to our new normal. Port Albert was very fortunate to have regained power as parts of Yarram and beyond are still waiting to be re-connected. Here are a few photos of Port Albert after the storm. We are very lucky that we just gained a temporary lake at the entrance and no damage was done.

Our “temporary lake” at the driveway entrance to Port Albert Waterview Retreat. You could say we now have 360 degrees water views!

Our neighbour’s property down the road. How amazing that the cushions on the seat stayed in place during such a devastating storm.
