Our Adventurous guests

We welcomed Craig and his family, a couple of nights ago. They arrived late at night, dog-tired and riding 6 motor bikes loaded to the hilt with all their camping gear. After planning their adventure over 6 months, they took off from Orange in NSW, had a stopover at Bombala before arriving at Port Albert. Craig said that they had had a Griswald’s kind of experience, with one of the motor bikes breaking down and having to buy a replacement bike in Bairnsdale. Then his wife was stung by a bee while riding and had a swollen neck. Craig was hopeful that their luck would change for the rest of their travels. Their adventure will take them along the South Gippsland Highway and around Port Phillip Bay to board the ferry to Tasmania where they plan on riding their motor bikes around the State for 2 weeks, camping along the way. They hadn’t had a hot shower for 2 days when they arrived so were most grateful to soak in our bath and enjoy the shower. It was a short and sweet stay and we hope they have a wonderful family holiday and safe travels home.
