Guests cycling the Great Southern Rail
During the week, we had a group of 6 cyclists stay at our Retreat overnight during their cycling holiday. They are all from Sydney and enjoy cycling rail trails. 4 cycled to us while the other 2 drove the vehicles. They clocked up 70kms that day, cycling to Port Welshpool as a side cycle.
They were very well organised with two cars and sturdy bike racks to carry their electric bikes. They first cycled the Bass Coast Rail Trail and then moved on to the Great Southern Rail Trail. After leaving us, they drove to Traralgon and were riding the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail from Traralgon to Stratford. They loved the peace and quiet of our Retreat and suggested returning for a fishing holiday in the future! We hope to welcome them back again one day.
